This is a modern English language release of the stationery catalog in two volumes. Volume I is sub-titled Issues of the Central Postal Administration for the Russian Empire. Volume II is sub-titled Issues of For Specific Areas. In his introduction, the author states that “The postal history of Imperial Russia, as well as that of the early post-revolutionary period, is in many respects the ‘poor kinfolk’ of Russian philately.” This catalog is a specialized publication for both the postal stationery and postal history collector.
